Lightning Calc enables you to find the approximate distance and location of lightning strikes near you. When you see lightning tap the "Lightning" button to start the timer and points towards it. When you hear the thunder tap the "Thunder" button and remember to keep it pointed towards the lightning. The app will calculate the distance in miles and kilometers. On devices with GPS and Digital Compasses it will also show the approximate location of the strike and display it on the map. On devices with just GPS it will draw a circle around your current location. This app will work with any loud visibile events including fireworks, nuclear tests and rocket launches. Note: please move to safe location before using this application during thunderstorms.
